Terms and Conditions
Please remember, our terms and conditions are created for the safety of our passengers, employees, others, and our equipment. By making your reservation with Seaside Transportation, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
BILLING
A credit card is required for all reservations. All credit cards will be verified for the quoted price before the vehicle departs from our office. All credit cards will be ID verified. We accept all major credit cards.
Additional charges, including but not limited to “Additional Wait Time,” “After Hours,” “Overtime,” “Gratuity,” “Fuel Surcharge,” “No Show,” and other fees, will be itemized on the invoice.
VIDEO RECORDING
For your safety, our driver's safety and insurance requirements, all rides are recorded. The cameras cannot be turned off.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Point to Point / Airport Transfer
Cancellations must be received at least 12 hours before the scheduled pickup time in Santa Barbara and 24 hours before pickup outside of the Santa Barbara County area to avoid cancellation fees. If you cancel within less than 12 hours of your scheduled pickup time, Seaside Transportation will charge 50% of the base fare. If a customer is a "no-show," we will charge the full base fare.
- Hourly Sedans and SUVs
If you cancel less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled event date, Seaside Transportation will charge 20% of the base fare. Cancellations made within less than 2 hours of the event will be charged 50% of the base fare. If a customer is a "no-show" or cancels while the vehicle is en route, we will charge the full base fare.
POINT-TO-POINT POLICY
All point-to-point transfers are subject to overage charges. We allow a 15-minute waiting time free for each pickup. After these 15 minutes, the driver can wait as requested, and a waiting fee will be charged for each additional minute. If the customer is a "no-show," we will charge the full base fare. If the passenger requests a stop off the route, additional charges will apply. If you cannot locate your chauffeur, please call us at 805-635-8000.
CAR SEAT
Seaside Transportation assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage related to car seat usage. The car seat must be installed by the user only. Chauffeurs are not authorized or certified to install these devices.
CLEANING
If during or after the transportation service Seaside Transportation is required to spend more time and resources cleaning the vehicle due to client actions, we may charge the client an additional fee to cover the cleaning costs. If a passenger gets sick in the vehicle, a $250.00 cleaning fee will be charged to the renter's credit card.
DAMAGES
Transportation services may be terminated, without a refund, if the chauffeur deems it necessary for reasons including but not limited to inappropriate behavior, lewdness, unsafe or disorderly conduct, illegal drug use, abuse of the chauffeur, or damage to the vehicle or its contents.
CONDUCT OF PASSENGERS
Clients shall NOT interfere with the chauffeur while they are performing their duties, nor tamper with any apparatus or appliances in the vehicle.
DRUG & ALCOHOL POLICY
Alcohol is not permitted in the vehicle if any passengers are under the age of 21. If minors are found drinking, the trip will be terminated immediately, with no refund given. Seaside Transportation strictly enforces state and federal laws, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy regarding the consumption of alcohol by individuals under the legal drinking age. Illegal drugs are also not permitted in our vehicles. If illegal substances are found, the ride will be terminated without a refund. Please note that law enforcement agencies have the authority to stop and search any vehicle. If contraband is found, even without the chauffeur's knowledge, the vehicle may be seized by law enforcement.
LOST ITEMS
We are not responsible for any baggage, personal items, or anything left behind in our vehicles by passengers. However, if you have lost an item, please contact us, and we will return it if found.
SEATING CAPACITY
Chauffeurs are not allowed to exceed the maximum seating capacity of the vehicle, as this violates state law and insurance guidelines. We do not allow more passengers than the vehicle's legal capacity.
SMOKING POLICY
Smoking of any kind (including cigarettes, cigars, and pipes) is strictly prohibited in all Seaside Transportation vehicles at all times. We appreciate your cooperation.
TRIP UPDATES
Any charges incurred during the ride, including but not limited to road tolls, parking fees, airport fees, and luggage carts, will be added to the final bill or invoice. There may be an additional surcharge for services provided on the following holidays:
- New Year's Eve
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
- Other major holidays
